Christmas Gift Campaign!
This year, our Christmas gift campaign looks a little different.
In addition to making sure every child in foster care in Comal County has gifts to open, we are requesting community assistance in obtaining gift cards for families to be able to purchase groceries and meals around the holidays.
Many of the families that we work to support are facing cuts to assistance for food and other resources.
Our goal this holiday season is to help support these families with obtaining resources to provide for their children's needs.
This year we are working closely with CASA to ensure that every child in foster care in Comal County has gifts to open, basic needs and a holiday meal.
There are 3 ways you can participate:
Purchase Walmart or HEB Gift Cards
Gift cards in any amount will help immensely! The following are suggested gift card amounts:
$25 will cover the cost of lunch for a child for a week.
$50 will cover the cost of a holiday meal for a family of 4
$100 will cover the cost of 4 nutritious dinners for 2 children.
$200 will cover the cost of groceries for a week and help alleviate stress for parents that have lost their SNAP benefits.

Buy a gift from our Amazon Wish List for children entering the system in November and December:
Children that enter foster care in the months of November and December will also need gifts!
Because they enter foster care so close to the Holidays, we have created an Amazon Wish List for you to shop so that there will be available gifts for them.
We encourage you to shop for these children!
Gifts purchased from the Amazon list will be sent directly to the Comal County Child Welfare Board, so that we can make sure every child entering foster care close to Christmas has a gift to open.
Make a monetary donation!
Your donations will help us to purchase gifts for children who enter foster care in November and December. These children also deserve to have gifts to open on Christmas and with your support we can make sure that there are gifts available to give them.
We understand that not everyone has time to go shopping! A monetary donation is just as important and helpful to our mission of making sure every child in foster care has gifts this Christmas.
